Please Hold Time!

Part one: Uh... "Mistakes were made."
The device I was using to record crashed. Normally I have the safety recording for just these situations, but I forgot to hit the button right away. This is what I get for being trusting... So we start with me remembering Jeff Seiler as a Jimmy Buffet (R.I.P.) fan.
Then Dave has praise for Oliver Simonsen and his Cerebus ala Don Martin abilities.
And HEY! Since I got the The Last Day Remarque Auction Catalogue, let's sell one!
Page 1:
Okay, lemme check ma "code bookee"... "first number indicates the duration of the auction". So: 3 days. "second number indicates the dollar amount of the opening bid". 1. One dollar. And not even a real dollar, a Canadian one. "third number indicates the minimum increments of the bidding". 6. Six CANADIAN dollars. "fourth number indicates the month the auction begins". 6. June. Well, if SOMEBODY had ensured that the cartoon doggie had the catalogue back then... "fifth number indicates the day the auction begins". 1. June first. HEY! That's my brother's birthday. He turned forty-seven this year. Well since I can't start the three day auction with an opening bid of one CANADIAN dollar and bid increments of six CANADIAN dollars on June first, I'ma wing it. SO: This Remarque. Starting bid FORTY-SEVEN AMERICAN DOLLARS (my brother's not Canadian...) Auction ends at 4PM Tuesday. Bid increments of five American dollars. Bid in the comments. International bidders are probably gonna get soaked on shipping, so, factor that in to your calculations. Next Auction doesn't start until this one is paid for.
Part two: We did Hot Wacks in the January 2019 Please Hold For Dave Sim, but Dave Fisher asked, and Dave did indeed have another answer.
Part three: Dodger had a question:
Hey Manly Matt and the super famous Canadian Dave Sim,
Changing artwork – Neal Adams, Barry Windsor Smith, Rick Veitch, Dave Sim. All artists change over time. Some, like Bill Sienkiewicz, actively experiment with new mediums and techniques. Others seem to change gradually.
Question - Do you think these changes in style are conscious, or happen naturally? (Asking for a talentless friend.)
Bonus question: Have you looked at the remastered Cerebus art and reassessed your own talent? (i.e. “Hey, that line work on page 2748 is brilliant! What a great cartoonist I am.”)
Cheers,
Dodger/M J (Mike) Sewall
Part four: Zipper wanted to know how Spore Batvark came to be, and how he came to be in Spore Batvark.
Hi Matt,
I have a question for Dave: what became of Harry Kremer's collections after his passing?
Kind regards,
Greg Shantz
Part six: Christon had two questions. One for Dave:
Last month you spoke about attending independent comic shows. I would assume with your strong indie book influence, you have had significant interactions with many other independent comic book creators. Of these creators, who has shown you the most support over your career? It does appear like you still have a great relationship with Kevin Eastman, which is wonderful. I am hoping that other creators have also currently remained supportive. Also, who is your favorite independent character, story and creator?
Part seven: Dave has a follow-up answer to Dodger, then Christon has a question for me:
Manly, allow me to begin with expressing my appreciation for all you do with A Moment of Cerebus. I'm new to this party, as I barely discovered AMOC about 2 years ago. But, I'm definitely a fan now. I absolutely love checking in every night before I go to bed. I really enjoy this sight!! So, my question for you is, do you have an estimated idea of how many followers this website has? An approximate, round-a-bout of AMOC family members? Just kinda curious..
Part eight: Michael R. of Easton, PA has another question? W.T.F. Okay, he SAYS it's from Hobbs, but I dunno...Hobbs has my email. He even has my private email. And my phone number I think. I think Zipper is trying to pull a fast one...
Hi Matt!
This question is from Benjamin Hobbs for this PHFDS. Enclosed is the "rough " "stand in art" in question.

Part nine: Steve Peters, who's Kickstartering Tails of Sparky #4 featuring this Sparkybus by Dave:
had a comment:
Here's something for Please Hold. If I didn't make it in time for September, you can save it for the next one.
Hi Dave, I wanted you to know how much I appreciated you talking about mungu mkono in response to my question earlier this year. At the time, I was heavily into recording that song, and your thoughts on the subject helped me fill in the gaps I had in the lyrics. I finished a rough version of the lyrics before I stopped cold because there was too much other Important Stuff going on. In fact, that's what the song is all about. I had a life-changing decision to make, a mungu mkono moment. At a certain point, you have to trust in God to inspire you to make the right call, and know that He'll guide you through it.
The "Ah, ah" parts don't translate, I suppose; you really need to actually hear the piece, but I thought I shouldn't take them out.
Hope to finish the song soon (I always have many irons on the fire), but your help with the lyrics certainly came at the right time, so thanks again.
---Steve Peters

Hi Matt!
I picked Reed Waller's birthday as an answer only because I googled searched comics history on August 3rd. I noticed that Dave drew an Omaha Cat cover for Reed. I picked August 3rd because (I think) that was the day you were calling Dave that day for Please Hold For. So, I thought it would have been a cool answer when one of you would have figured out that Reed's birthday was the same day as the phone call. I thought that would have been funny, but now it has morphed into its own rabbit hole Dave Sim comic metaphysics.
