Cerebus In Hell? Trading Card Checklist

Benjamin Hobbs:

While I'm waiting on the trading cards to arrive, so I can start fulfillment of the SOCIH? V9 and V10 Hardcover Kickstarter campaign, I've begun putting together a checklist that will serve as the final card for the Cerebus In Hell? Trading card set.

The problem I'm having is that I don't know WHEN this card will release.

The cards up through #24 are in production (Or have been produced).  #25-29 are the tentative cards for the V11 and V12 campaign.  There are more cards that would be fun to make, but the release schedule of SOCIH? is uncertain after V12.  (We're still deciding how to proceed.  V13 will happen at some point.)

Here's the current checklist.  It's numbered #36, but that's just a place holder:

The current options for the CIH? cards are as follows:

-Produce up through card #29 for the V11/V12 campaign.  Make  #30 onward when V13 happens.

-Make #30 onward add-ons for the V11/V12 campaign, and end this run of cards.

-Run a CIH? Card campaign sometime after the V11/V12 campaign for anything after #30.

Is it better to wrap up this set of cards with V12, allowing for a different card set to be parodied on V13, or is it best to leave this set open ended so new cards can be added in the future? (On hardcover campaigns, or with variant covers or other KS CIH? books?)

Let me know your thoughts in the comments! Your insight is greatly appreciated on these matters!

Next Week: Hopefully all the V9/V10 books are in the mail!

Hi Benjamin!

Are you planning on selling or Kickstarting a completed set at some point? Then I would have a last card to the set.

If you plan on to continue the CIH? HC (even if the HC’s come out ever so sporadically)then continue with the one set. No need to have multiple sets. It might confuse everyone with “SET 1 CARD1’ and”SET2 CARD1”

Maybe have variant cards or signed cards (Dave?) dispersed in the future.

Not sure how well blank cards sold, but I liked them and probably get a set every time.

How about covers of CIH? on cards for a future card sets?

I think the SoCiH? series should stay one series, especially since you seem to have enough to keep the older ones available and not inaccessible to latecomers (*cough*Waverly*cough*).

I also like that there are other series, though, and I love trading cards, so if you want to parody other comic sets, just do them separately.
