A correction to Yesterday's Update. And Sean's got that AMOC-y hustle that drives all them kids WILD!

Hi, Everybody!

An Update to yesterday's Update:
Speaking of Sean:
The Robot Future, A Whole Mess of Interviews, and Adventure in a World on Fire… You Know, Some Comic Stuff.
Hello friends,

I hope you’re all having a wonderful fall! Here in Saint Paul we seemed to have skipped fall entirely. A few short weeks with trees dropping leaves, and then poof, we’re suddenly in a snow-covered landscape. My kids are thrilled. Their bus driver, not so much!
First off, I wanted to thank all of you who pledged for or shared links to our presale for The Exile. I’ve already started moving forward on printing all of the extras for the campaign. The book itself is prepared and only awaiting initial orders from our distributor the first week of December, and then it’s off to press! We’re now shifting gears to promoting the book for its eventual comic shop and book store release. Based on the inquiries I’ve received, we should have some exciting high-profile reviews and interviews coming along as we get closer to the release of the book in late January/early February.

And speaking of PreviewsWorld… they also have an interview live now with the author/cartoonist of the upcoming Living the Line title, Centralia!
Click for bigger. (And to be able to read the right side...)
That’s right, Centralia is at long last heading into its preorder period, hot on the heels of The Exile. Here’s the Troy Allen PreviewsWorld interview with Miel Vandepitte, the book’s author!

And as I was alluding to in the above, we’re going to be launching a presale for Centralia as well, most likely sometime in the next week. You can get updates on our launch for the book by following this link. The book is also available to preorder from your local comic store as of this Friday, and should be available for preorder at lots of book megastores now!

“...a beautifully drawn, dreamlike adventure story that is sure to please lovers of Euro comics masters like Herge and Moebius.”
― Jimmy Gownley, Amelia Rules! and 7 Good Reasons Not to Grow Up

Wandering in a World on Fire.

The ground in and around Centralia has warmed so much, it’s impossible to stand on without melting. Those who survive long enough will be confronted with carnivorous birds, collapsing buildings, and the trigger-happy Simia Nasalis, armed with bazookas and stilts.

Against their better judgement, a group of adventurers set out to discover the treasure of gold hidden away at the heart of the abandoned town."
Well, if THAT’s not enough for you [mercy, Sean, have mercy on us!], the second issue of Abolition of Man is out in comic shops today! If the reaction to the first issue is any indication, this one will likely sell out quickly, so I would pick it up sooner rather than later. The issue was written by Carson, and illustrated by MidJourney AI back in mid June, and extrapolates out from the concerns of the first issue to the Featureless Future, where human activity has lost all meaning. And yet it’s not as bleak a read as that might make it seem :) A project that Carson and I are both thrilled with, the second and third issues take certain art comics standbys to their logical expressionistic extremes. Not to be missed.

Lastly, I thought you might all enjoy this recent interview on the Living the Line Youtube channel, with Carson Grubaugh in discussion with the another great comics formalist, Tommi Musturi. Lots of fascinating discussion of style and purpose in art making.
Hey that's great Sean. Way to fill up a day...

Larry Shell is still trying to make it:
That immortal philosopher, Yogi Berra, once said "It ain't over until it's over" and I agree!

As I stated a couple of days ago, I did NOT raise the amount I needed to pay my property taxes by the deadline, which was Nov. 10th.

I spoke with the local tax office today and was thankfully able to get an extension until the end of the month. Hopefully that will allow me to raise the balance needed.

Please help and share the link to the GoFundMe on your Facebook page, Twitter and any other social media you frequent.

Thank you all!
Larry

We moved in July! Quite the transition, all positive so far :) But then again, this is only month 1/5 re: winter...

Now that I've read the rest of the post: Welcome to the Twin Hamlets. You'll find that abrupt seasonal transitions are the norm here. Wait'll April: Snow on Wednesday, 75 degrees and softball on Sunday.
