I finished resizing all the pages of the Cerebus volume for the laughably named "2019 ReRead":

Issue #4: Then. Issue #5: Then, then, then. Demonhorn. Issue #6: Then, then, then. Issue #7: Then, then, then. Issue #8: Then, then, then. Issue #9: Then, then, then. Issue 10: Then, then, then. Issue #11: Then, then, then, then. Issue 12: Then, then, then. Magiking. Issue 13: Then, then, then. Silverspoon. Issue 14: Then, then. Issue 15: Then, then.  Issue 16: Then, then. Issue 17: Then, then. Issue 18: Then, then. Issue 19: Then, then. Issue 20: Then, then. What Happened Between Issues Twenty & Twenty-One. Issue 21: Then, then. Issue 22: Then, then. Issue 23: Then, then. Issue 24: Then, then. Issue 25: Then, then. 

I haven't asked Dave, but I'm positive that the reason the spell works now is Cerebus' magnifier nature. Again, I haven't asked, but if you stick around long enough, that's the answer to 85% of your questions about the little gray bastard...

Notes for the newbies in the back who haven't been paying attention:

• Charles X. Claremont is a parody of Professor Charles Xavier, founder and leader of the X-Men. Along with a pastiche of X-Men writer, Chris Claremont (see any of the '82 Tour material for the photo of him and Deni Sim from October 5th (my wife's birthday...) 1982 (three years early...).)
• Woman Thing is a parody of Marvel's Man-Thing. Man-Thing's stories introduced Howard the Duck (who first appeared in Adventure into Fear #19, before returning in Giant Size Man-Thing, and then graduating into his own series,) a funny animal in a world of humans, who was part of the inspiration for Cerebus (along with Marvel's Conan comics. (Funnily, in Howard's first solo issue, he does a barbarian parody...).
• Madame Dufort's School for Gifted Debutantes is a parody of Charles Xavier's School for Gifted Youngsters (the cover for the X-Men's base of operations in their comics.)
• "Was there any reason the Beast COULDN'T be a WOMAN...?" is a parody of a quote attributed to Claremont: "is there any reason this character couldn't be a woman". 
• Theresa either does or doesn't return in Church & State as an informant to Weisshaupt. I can't remember if Dave ever confirmed that she was the same person. Janette and Katrina are never seen again. (Not even in Jaka's Story (Katrina, which lends itself to the idea that she's NOT Jaka's sister...), or Women (both of them, where almost every female character gets a cameo), or the crowd scene in issue #300 (ditto). 
• The trio with a "cute" card game motif gets revisited in at the beginning of Church & State with Silverspoon and his two buddies (whose names escape me, but we'll see them sooner rather than later when the 2019 Re-Read hits Church & State...

Okay, two more posts with issue 25, and the  Cerebus volume will be posted in it's entirety like High Society.

My friends at the Waverly Press, are moving their office, and to lighten the loads, they're temporarily cutting prices on their remaining Cerebus inventory on their eBay store starting this weekend. They're gonna be gradually listing more things in the coming days and any orders placed next week will receive new ‘82 Tour promo cards. So if you're interested, maybe stalk their eBay page like a crazy person...

I believe that most of the '82 Tour stuff has sold.
