Cerebus In Hell? - New in '22

 "Hi Everybody"

(Says Not Matt Dow, but instead...

The Legion of Substitute "Manly" Matt Dows

have taken over AMOC!

Tuesday the 4th through Monday the 10th of January.)

So, what's new for Cerebus in Hell? 2022?  If a picture is indeed worth a thousand words then this Substitute Dow has nothing else to say.

There may be MOIRE (YOU try assembling this many Cerebi on a tiny laptop!)

OK, maybe a few words about that "Numbering" thing.  You may have noticed in the fine print running along the left side of the covers of current CIH? issues now reads:

"CEREBUS IN HELL? PRESENTS #_"

As Manly Matt mentioned recently, this is an attempt to get the Cerebus In Hell? issues to sit in the same general area each week at your local comic shop.  To make things confusing we have stolen yet another idea from the Big Two and will retroactively number all the CIH? issues.  To make it even more confusing, CEREBUS IN HELL PRESENTS #1 is CEREBUS IN HELL? #0.  My suggestion to Dave was that we plan on ending the series at issue #99.  Dave, understandably wouldn't commit to this, saying that CIH? will continue as long as it is viable.  Nothing is easily written in stone in uncertain times.

Will there be reprints of the individual issues with the retroactive numbering added to them?

Not anytime soon.

Will the numbering be added to future editions of Swords of Cerebus in Hell?

If there are further printings, maybe, but not anytime soon.

Mainly, it's about a numbering system to make the issues easier to keep track of.  No one planned to do this many issues.  When we started seriously talking about this I sent the list of 71 issues to Dave.  He sent it back with a line under issue 55 and wrote "Bone".  Under issue 71 he wrote out 72-75 and wrote "Sandman".  That's when I suggested stopping at #99.  Imagine the confusion years from now...

"Why did they stop at issue 99?  They got that far and couldn't put out one more lousy issue?"

"Cerebus In Hell? #0 IS Cerebus In Hell? Presents #1, idiot.  So there ARE 100 issues."

"What about the online strips?"

"Those were all collected in the earliest printed issues."

"I heard not all of them were and some were different from what originally appeared online."

"What about the promotional strips and one-off ads?  When are they putting out a CIH? MisceWaddaYaCallIt?"

"All of this is on AMOC, it's still archived online."

"TL;DR"

That ALL NEW checklist will arrive soon.  Happy New Year and thanks for continuing to support Cerebus In Hell?
