Ha ha! And to think a recent commenter lamented that Dave isn't funny any more.
Dave's first contribution shows how deep his biblical scholarship goes: "This makes me feel good, therefore it's the word of god; this makes me feel bad, therefore it's the word of the evil entity I made up out of my head to prevent me from having to confront the fact that my theology is inconsistent."
His second contribution demonstrates the strength of his intellect: make up facts out of his head, believe in them, and on them build castles in the air which he then excoriates other people for not moving into.
Dave is not a rational animal; he's a rationalizing animal. As his mental illness progresses and reinforces his personality defects, he becomes ever more unmoored from this reality. Not that his ties here were ever very strong; by his own admission the world of comics was more real to him than the world of reality, and once he achieved some personal and professional success he moved into DaveWorld full time, where everything is only about him all the time. It's where he's most comfortable.
This is quite funny to me.

Why would you find a person with a "mental illness" funny?
If you don't really think he has one, it's a low thing to categorize someone like that you disagree with. In my opinion.
Peace,
A Fake Name
Oh, he's definitely mentally ill. But he's got enough donors to keep him in tuna and carrots, and his influence in the world is minimal, so he's not really a danger to himself or others.

A KS starter that is 84% Fully Funded after only 12 hours since its launch is truly minimal.
You’re mixing some straw with that shit there, son. That’s ok. You seem to be the type who LOVES to make hay outta Dave’s Bible study here anyway. So, I’ll let that shit slide. But, you see son, I am not talking about what Cerebus sold back in ‘86. That’s your row to hoe. I Was talking about what that KS is doing now. And, since you mentioned it, it’s now at 95 backers; probably will be “fully funded” by this evening.
You know, it seems you resent the fact that Dave still makes a little money on the side. That’s your lot, and that’s ok too. But I have had plenty of tail in my time, and don’t adore Sim or any other guy. That would be idolatry, and thus a sin. Just appreciate his drive to keep going, despite the hatred of butthurt former fanboys like yourself. You can mark that down as a core part of my identity, sweetheart.
"That escalated quickly. I mean, that really got out of hand."
I've said it before and I'll say it again, you might come for the Cerebus, but you stay for the Damian T. Lloyd. Freaking hilarious.
No, I'm a different anon. Honestly man, I always look forward to your posts, they're funny.
I'm just glad someone has stepped in for the late Jeff - may God have mercy on his soul - to keep putting quarters in Damian.
Or maybe this Anonymous is Jeff, posting from the Great Black Tower Empire in the Sky.
