Cerebus Around the World and Web #122 by Oliver Simonsen

Oliver Simonsen:

You can't kickstart faster than this kickstarter: fulfilled within a day and still booming. Volume 14, the long out of print Graphic Novel by Dave Sim & Gerhard, now Expanded and Remastered in hard and softcover - arguably a major turning point in Dave's photorealism drawing style. And if you haven't yet check out Living the Line's Patreon for all the great work they've done

Speaking of tireless work, Matt Dow, who keeps this amazing blog going among other wonderful things has a storewide sale - here promoted by maybe the hardest working one of us all, the always inspiring and ever diligent soon to be superstar, Robert Brian L West (click link for video)

Theodore Trout who animated some of the incredible 2d sequences in the Cerebus film - is working on updating it (I know I know it'll lose some of that groovy rough LSD trippyness:):)). One way or another there'll be an updated film I'm sure. (click link for animation)

But I need at the very least a breather on the film and do something else for a bit...not sure what yet though...didn't stop me from creating a Patreon though:)

In Portuguese, Hagar calls Cerebus "tamanduá" (anteater) and Cerebus replies he's an aardvark. In the end, Hagar replies these different species are the same type of bull$h!t.

Alex Krislov:When "Cerebus" had three years to run, I rang up Aardvark-Vanaheim to subscribe for the rest of the story. Dave took my call and was pleased that I was making that commitment. And he sent me this sketch as a gift

Holy Time Warp. That TCJ cover has, with the exception of Dalgoda, which I never got into, most of my favorite comics circa 1985-86 or so. (Crumb represented by Weirdo, which changed my life as a comics reader even more than Cerebus did.)

Tony,
that was my era for sure. Loved Weirdo!
