Benjamin Hobbs:
According to the comments of last weeks column, DEFECTIVE COMICS #1 should be in stores today! Thank you to everyone who commented last week!
Batvark: A Poet In The Family will be headed to to the printer next week. I'm thinking about doing a variant cover. Here is the mock-up:
The text would be altered for the final variant. It would be limited to
100-150 copies, and sold on an upcoming SOCIH? Hardcover campaign. Let
me know your thoughts on the possibility of more CIH? variants in the comments!
The original looks like this and should be on sale April 27th!
Next Week: The SOCIH? V11 revisions that I keep promising!

Nothing. Hiding from emails. Skipping posts. because he is too busy staying off the lawn.
But he would buy a signed and unsigned variant.
Clicked through for a Hobbs update.
Rich.
No new CIH? Defective Comics at my comic shop this week.
Also, I would go for the variant cover in the next Kickstarter IF it's not outrageously priced.
The eagle did land at my LCS, Benjamin.
Rich- Good to know!
Brain- Glad to hear it arrived!
Michael R- I hope DEFECTIVE arrives soon! What do you consider outrageously priced? For a variant to be cost effective, the price currently looks like it needs to be about $25-30.

Apologies to Brian! I misspelled your name because I can't type!
At least BRAIN isn't the worst thing to be called...

I'm in for a price range of $25-30. Will the comic be numbered like the monthly CIH?'s? If so, can I get number #26. :)
Hey Michael!
It most likely won't be numbered. There have been WAY too many problems with that on the hardcovers, and WAY too much damage on previous variants to make numbering worth it. I believe the CEREBUS THE EMILY variant will just say "Limited to 150 Copies". So this one will say something similar.
That said, I'd be happy to write "This is copy #26... Honest" Or something similar on your copy!

You’re right, Benjamin. Brain is not such a bad malapropism.
Misnaming Brian W. as "Brain" is funny, if not accurate.

Only as accurate as the prescription for those coke bottles you wear for glasses, Damian.
I miss when Dave could be funny instead of just sick and manic
Well, that’s what back issues are for Anonymous.
