HELL'O DALI (Dave's Weekly Update #450)

Hi, Everybody!

Dave's Weekly Update:
Hey, they're sinking up again... Neat!

Cerebus in Hell?:

The original for T...ony? Travis? One of you "T" fellas...

It's funny, because the cover that's being parodied was redrawn when it was reprinted:
I love how Bobby now has a "who the @#%& farted" look on his face...

And, these..."things":
"Ah need yo clothes, yo booots, ahnd yo Baht-vahk comics..."

Is it @#%&ING November yet?!?

Anyway, if you haven't ordered Flailing At Love, you might wanna get on that...

Latest as of yesterday:
If you answered your survey you noticed a question regarding the surprises thrown in this campaign and while we haven't read them all yet the overwhelming reactions is to not answer the question or give the equivalent of "meh" as a reply. The vocal crowd that doesn't like additions during the campaign are way out numbered by the "it's ok", "it's fun" and "don't care" crowd. Yes, someone actually answered "don't care". That's fine, we said be brutal, but no one has taken the bait yet.

When Dave was shown the graph that charts our progress it revealed that throughout the campaign we experienced a big surge each time we introduced a new item. He was optimistic but wants to be careful not to feed into anyone's addiction.

There are still 3 people that have an error of some kind with their payment. Kickstarter will eventually kick you out of the running if this isn't corrected. These backers received an email from us reminding them of the issue.

20 people have not filled out their survey. This is the part of the campaign that creators hate the worst. Suddenly a job that was entirely reliant on us to complete is held up by the part of the job that is up to you to complete. The process will go forward today. This means that we will begin fulfillment and those 20 people just got put in the back of the line. By not filling out the survey you delay your own shipment and sometimes effect the other backers as well. Dave wants to move this number to 50, as in when we've heard from everyone except 50 backers we will start fulfillment. This isn't to punish anyone. Things happen, life gets in the way of a stupid survey, but we have to move forward on the majority of backers that have done their part. If you are one of those 20 your order will be filled as soon as we hear from you

It's all an effort to cut the fulfillment time down as much as possible. Most of you are going to start receiving your items long before the October deadline.

Living the Line got a new series with Carson Grubaugh  The Abolition of Man #1. It's a comic "drawn" by an AI.

They also published The Strange Death of Alex Raymond, which has the website of annotations.

And if they DON'T win an Eisner tonight, they're dead to me...
