Hi, Everybody!
Chapter the third:
"There HAS to be some way out of here," you say to yourself out loud.As you search Jen's room (you're not ready to admit that it's YOUR room now...), you think you might be able to fit in the ventilation ducts, but they're thirty feet above the floor, and the rickety furniture laying about the place doesn't look like it could hold your weight even before you you tried stacking it...Thinking about the greatest escapes in cinematic history, you remember Tim Robbins crawling through five football fields of foulness the like of which what Morgan Freeman couldn't even imagine to freedom. Looking at the wooden box toilet, you think that maybe you could do the same.As you lift the plank lid, a smell like if eighty thousands farts married to the excrement of the damned had a child raised in the dankest pit of the oldest garbage heap in the universe hits your nostrils. You shine your flashlight down the potty, and the pipe looks dirty, small, and noxious."Maybe I can dig a tunnel out like Charles Bronson in The Great Escape..." you think as you start looking for a spoon.Searching the cell (still not admitting that this is your home now,) you find a small drawer in the side of the small table next to the lone chair. It seems to be locked, as you can't get it open.On the small shelf above the table is a well-read copy of The Joker's Jokebook from 1989, the third collection of Walt Kelly's Pogo, and a small notebook filled with densely packed scribbling. It must be something Jen wrote during her stay here.Heading back to the sleeping area (you tell yourself you're not gonna be sleeping there,) you check the small bedside cabinet with a drawer and a door. The drawer has a small scroll, and a little book written in Chinese. When you open the door, you see a shelf with some worn rags that may have been a towel and washcloths at some point (probably before Nixon opened up China...), on a shelf. Below that is another shelf that is empty. No damn spoon. "I guess Bronson isn't an option anymore" you say to yourself. As you stop to look around one more time, you hear a distant voice softly singing. The words are just quiet enough that you can't tell if it's English or not.If you want to see if shouting for help does anything, comment "Panic".If you'd rather re-search everything and see if Jen left a clue on how she escaped, comment "Reassesment".Whichever gets the most votes by 4pm(CST) next Tuesday determines the next chapter...
Uh...okay then. You heard the mysterious voice. You (the audience) gets to decide where this goes from here...

Ben Dunn has a video game
And the new one:
Friend to the Blog, Steve Peters' latest Comicverse book, as Steve himself says:
For Cerebus readers, "Cerberus," our 3-headed, 31st century version of Cerebus, returns and figures prominently in one of our stories; we also have the 2 "Sparkybus" micro-prints that Matt Dow masterminded and Dave Sim signed, plus 3 different variants of "Tails of Sparkybus" that Dave drew stuff for and signed on a tipped-in plate. These are very limited editions and quantities of some are running low, so this could be the last chance to get them.
So get 'em while they're HOT!
