These are very limited editions and quantities of some are running low, so this could be the last chance to get them.

Were any of these pages in CAN3? Didn't get one, don't remember, but I'm curious if Dave commentates about all the Eisner rain. (Is it Eisner rain? Looks like it to me, but I'm no expert.)
I love what Gerhard quickly brought to the look of the book when he joined a year later, but I equally love the spare look of these issues where Dave seems to use background, and sometimes foreground, details in limited but significant scene-setting ways. The missing backgrounds on most pages aren't missed in reading these pages, except possibly by contrast with what Gerhard would come to do. If a CAN19 were to offer all 20 pages, I would really be tempted to get that.
This is possibly my favorite issue in the entire run. Entirely different from any of the first 53. She's not trying to manipulate him, we've already forgotten that his plan is to take advantage of her wealth, and they just seem like two adults developing a friendly acquaintance. Naturally it can't last; that would be a boring series. But for one issue? It works great as a brief change of pace before the relentless parody-ing resumes.
