Back in 2021 I began swiping art from (theoretically) public domain 1950 romance comics, and putting Cerebus into the panels. Each panel is drawn on it's own 9x12 inch Bristol board. Here are three of those boards. They were inked with a brush:

I'm not satisfied with how the word balloons look in the top panel. At some point after these panels were drawn, I decided that the best course of action is to not draw word balloons at all, and put them in digitally as is the CIH? style.
