Passover, Judenhass... did he say "Dukes of Stratosphear"? (Dave's weekly update #484)

Hi, Everybody!

Dave's Weekly Update:

The Last Day Remarqued Editions. CerebusDownload.com

If YOU want YOUR copy to be personalized (like mine is), you need to pay at CerebusDownload.com, then call (519) 576-0610 and leave a message for Dave explaining that you bought a copy (I'd say what the name that paid is, so Dave can verify with Eddie. Like if you're Diane, but fluffybottom77@email.com paid, I'd say "Hi Dave! This is fluffybottom77@email.com, I paid for a Remarqued The Last Day at CerebusDownload.com, and would like it personalized "To Diane!" please. I've been a fan since 1977 when I met you at a Now & Then Books..." (Ya know that the tape DOES run out, right?...) OR, if you have the technology, you could fax your PayPal receipt to (519) 576-0955 to prove to Dave that you paid, and include your personalization request. Or if you know Eddie's email (I do. I know all sorts of stuff. Like the address of the Off White House. And Margaret's address. And Birdsong's in-seam. It's all in the AMOC Editor's Book of Secrets...), you could email Eddie with your personalization request, and make HIM tell Dave to write "To Diane!" on your Remarqued The Last Day that you bought from CerebusDownload.com for $99 Canadian Dollars.

And REMEMBER, not only is it the Remastered The Last Day, not only is it misprinted "Form & Void" on the spine:

Not only is it Remarqued by Dave with an Old Cerebus Head:

But it's signed by Dave and Gerhard (who'll be in Indiana this weekend, by the way, if you see him, tell him "Matt says, 'hi.'.)!

(And if you're American, and the Canadian Dollar drops tomorrow, you might save more money...)

The TMNT 8 IndieGoGo, speaking of which, T8KS Update:

Greetings backers!

We're moving into production for the remastered Turtles #8 and it looks like the book will be ready for the printer in about a week. We're going to try and stay ahead of schedule and get the books printed and shipped before the stated delivery date.

You can still pick up extra copies of this rare release either on Indiegogo or on the Waverly Comics website.

Dave Sim created a special set of 12 numbered hand drawn "$1,000 Club" trading cards. Every completed pledge of $1,000 or more (not including shipping) will be getting one of these hand drawn cards with your pledge package. They all look something like this.

We're gearing up for our next Kickstarter which is the deluxe signed and numbered hardcover Cerebus: The Last Day. We will have more details and a launch date after Turtles 8 has gone to print.

I gotta say, the scheduling of these hardcovers is almost perfectly calibrated for my budget. Not sure if Waverly is aware of things like that in their budget planning, but the overall release rhythm is spot-on for me.

Waverly is selling these books, instead of pulping them and doing the job properly? You'd think they'd have respect for the fans whose money they want, but maybe they've gauged the audience correctly.

Damian,

Dave's selling the books that are misprinted. Pulping them isn't really an option. Spine stickers are being produced to cover the wrong title.

This wasn't a printer's error, so Marquis isn't at fault, so Dave has to make lemonade out of the situation.
