Friendly neighborhood reminder that David Birdsong generously donated to our GoFundMe raffle Carson Grubaugh's painting from an early version of The Strange Death of Alex Raymond. Note that the frame was damaged and there was no glass in it so he removed the art. The marks made by the frame can be seen below. 16 x 20 inches, acrylic on board.
I am happy to report that $165 have been donated since last week for a grand total of seven raffle tickets sold and one new page unlocked on Dropbox. So if you are interested in the painting, your chances are pretty good if you buy a ticket or three. AND I'll probably toss a few more things in the pot come next week.
Rules to win the Carson Grubaugh SDOAR Painting
Entries (or our equivalent of raffle tickets) cost $25 each and can be donated via lump sum to the Strange Death of Alex Raymond 2024 GoFundMe campaign through Monday, April 28, 2025 at midnight, PST. I will then randomly assign numbers to each entry and have Dave pull another Karnak, and I'll announce the winner on April 28, 2025. Cool? Cool.

Life continues to keep me busy -- I won't bore you with the details until next week, but I am finally setting aside time this week to go through the proof version of the Giant-Sized Ashcan #0 with a fine-tooth comb, so more news on that front, one hopes (again), next week!
