SDoAR 3.14: Cerebus Book Plates Up for Grabs! 1 in 6 Chance to Win!

First up, I've added a set of four Cerebus bookplates, signed by Dave Sim, to the raffle this week!

2) David Birdsong provided an update on packing of the Carson Grubaugh SDOAR cover painting, "I have some thick vellum that is the same size as the board so I placed two sheets over the painting and then a few more sheets to keep it all together. I've got several large pieces of cardboard and I'll make a nice oversized package for it and it will be ready to go when the raffle ends."

In case you're new to this raffle, David Birdsong generously donated Carson Grubaugh's painting from an early version of The Strange Death of Alex Raymond. Note that the frame was damaged and there was no glass in it so he removed the art. The marks made by the frame can be seen below. 16 x 20 inches, acrylic on board.

3) I am happy to report that $215 have been donated since last week for a grand total of six raffle tickets sold (I miscounted last week). So if you are interested in the painting, your chances are pretty good if you buy a ticket or three. AND I'll probably continue toss more things in the pot before the drawing on April 28.

Rules to win the Carson Grubaugh SDOAR Painting

Entries (or our equivalent of raffle tickets) cost $25 each and can be donated via lump sum to the Strange Death of Alex Raymond 2024 GoFundMe campaign through Monday, April 28, 2025 at midnight, PST. I will then randomly assign numbers to each entry and have Dave pull another Karnak, and I'll announce the winner on April 28, 2025. Cool? Cool.

4) I finished my review of the Giant-Size SDOAR Ashcan #0, but need to write up my notes for Philip, so that is at least some progress!
