The Silver Cerebus
And Friend to the Blog, Greg Hyland is running the next volume of The Monster Atlas on Kickstarter. And he says:
I just wanted to send out a note letting you know where we're at with the next volume of the Monster Atlas. We have reached out funding goal (within 12 hours of starting!), so the book will be coming out. But we're hoping to hit our next Stretch Goal, so we can include new art by Gerhard in the book. As you all got the first Europe volume, you know how awesome his art is and we definately want to get more for the new book. At the moment we've only had about half the amount of people to pledge on Part 2 as we did Part1. So hopefully there's a lot of you out there that want to continue their Monster Atlas collection. So, if you contribute now you could help us get pass our next Stretch Goal..The Kickstarter page for Monster Atlas: Volume 2 Part2: Western Europe is at https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/monsteratlas2/monster-atlas-volume-2-part-2-western-europe. Hopefully you can help us out!

Continuing from yesterday, I forgot to include the covers John L. found:
And thinking back, The "C" in Crime Does Not Pay on the Shuffleton's Barber Shop painting is there, it was just painted over with red. But the red wasn't quite the same color. The same red was used to change the "M" into a "H".
And the Walt Disney's comics and stories logo was completely covered with a smear of (I remember it as blue, but this cover is more green...) paint. Dave thought that was another case where the Saturday Evening Post touch up guy did it.

So, what's happening?
There's this:
A copy of High Society? What Printing? |
It's an odd auction:
Prestige Format and Graphic Novel Long Box Group (Various Publishers, 1980s-2000s) Condition: Average VG/FN. Various titles include Dave Sim: High Society, Captain America: Sentinel of Liberty, Little Nemo: In Slumberland, The Mask, The Hobbit, Astro City, Preacher, Strangers in Paradise, and many more. There are 60 issues in total. Most are not listed in Overstreet. From the Roseville Collection. That's it, that's the description. And 60 ISSUES, or 60 TRADES?
Very Weird.
Alright, I'm calling this a Moment.
Next Time: Hobbs. Stuff. It'll be great.
1 comment:
The Roseville Collection is complete bullshit.
