Hi, Everybody!
Heeeeeere's
And there's a Kickstarter for Dave and Carson Grubaugh's You Don't Know Jack. The Newest Update:
Okay, I didn't "pull a Kayne" and interrupt Margaret's post with yesterday's update, so of course they posted eight updates (so far,) today. The campaign ends in a few hours, so if you're waiting until the last minute: You're up! Anyway:
WOAHHHH. $20,000 stretch goal UNlocked!
We're cruising in to the end here, folks, with only 6.5 hours to go. The biggest piece of business, as indicated by the previous update... we hit our stretch goal! Thank you VERY much to everyone who pledged, and a special thanks to Vitas P, Adademy-tier contributor, and all of the other pledge-adjusters who pushed us over the line.
Which means that every $15 and up backer will now be receiving
1. a digital download of the final book
2. a digital download of all of Dave's layouts, including unused strips that didn't make the cut
3. "The Dave Sim Edit" of YDKJ (including my and Dave's "placeholder cover" for issue 2, the unused IFC for issue two, and more!).
Below are two samples of Dave's layouts, one of which made the finished book, and the other which remained forever in fax layout form. (Punchlines "pink"ified so as to not spoil your YDKJ reading experience!)
At the moment I'm busy putting together the end of campaign surveys so we can get you your loot in as timely a manner as possible. In the meanwhile, there's still a little bit of unsettled Holographic Death Match Business...
That's right, sticker voting will remain open until the very end of the campaign! As of this writing, here are the most current vote totals:
ONE -- 10 votes
TWO-- 1 vote
THREE-- 1 vote
FOUR-- 11 votes
Which sticker would YOU like to see? Let us know now in the comments!
And thank you all VERY much for your support.
Again, the Kickstarter ends in a few hours, so GO!
And Eddie sent out a The Strange Death of Alex Raymond: Fundraising Edition update:
Hi everyone
Just wanted to give everyone an update. Your printed editions of personalized FE copies of SDOAR have just been delivered to me (just hours away from then end of the YOU DON'T KNOW JACK! KICKSTARTER Campaign! Comic-Art Metaphysics or Coincidence? You decide!).
I'll be starting the next step of getting them ready for shipping them out to all of you fine people across the globe.
Thank you again for your support.
Sincerely,
Eddie
If you missed the Waverly Press Kickstarter for the Remastered Cerebus #1, limited overflow of the rewards are available at cerebusoverload.com.
Cerebus masks and whatnots with all the money going to Dave.
Until the end of the month, there's also "Cerebus in Hell? 4 Sell". With all the profits going to Aardvark-Vanaheim.
Speaking of Cerebus in Hell? Word on the Street is that the 18th is the Final Order Cutoff for:Vault of Cerebus! And The "Censored for Grandma" variant: Batvark XXXXX (Okay, I heard that from Brian West on the Tweeters. But that's like a street, right?)
And about two weeks until The Amicable Spider-Vark should be in stores (if they can get fixed and there in time.)
Speaking of which, A Moment of Cerebus is facilitating Aardvark/Vanaheim's auctioning of a signed copy of the mis-stapled The Amicable Spider-Vark #1. As soon as I get pictures, I'll show you what it looks like, but it's signed by Dave five times with a silver sharpie that was dying, and some of them are smeared. It's a "Sandeep Atwall 1 of 5". Bidding starts at $12 American dollars (plus shipping, this ain't a charity...).
Signed copies of Vark Wars: Walt's Empire Strikes Back (Signed by Dave, Signed by Dave and me, Signed by me after I scribble out Dave's name, Pretty much available Signed only...)And about two weeks until The Amicable Spider-Vark should be in stores (if they can get fixed and there in time.)

Next Time: A multitude of wonders...

Let's get the bidding started. $12.
How long is this running?
Larry,
Not sure, I get to call it when I want.
Let's say unless there's some action, let's say we end it the first of August.
Manly Matt Dow
Shout out to Larry in the video - thanks for getting Dave to give us that tidbit on Cerebus #32's cover. Good job sending him some of those pins! :)
I vote for sticker #4.
And I'll bid $20 for the mis-stapled cover of CiH.
I just bought one of Matt Dow's Cerebus t-shirts & masks on his Teepublic page today.

Now people around me will ask why I'm wearing a pig mask.
No, I'm not going to say he's an earth pig. That will be an even longer conversation.
That is the word on them Twitter streets, Matt.
