When will the first two volumes be available to buy online?
We still have some of the DVDs at Escape Pod Comics, in case anyone is still looking.
Wow. That is amazing.
What's the latest on Cerebus Archive Number 4?
Will there be an update as to the dollar amounts these terra-bites are generating?
The only way to gage the results of the eyeballs on this... Is to wait a few weeks... People need time to consume 1000 pages and a 2 hour movie.GEORGEPETERGATSIS
I don't know if I fully understand the metrics, but if giving away 1000 pages for free is generating revenue, then I'm all for it.I know Dave's intent was to let people spread Cerebus in one on one interactions, but a big (comics) media push is a good way to start this campaign. But seriously, What did I DO?!?Matt Dow
Speaking of comic metaphysics...Just this week I got talking with a co-worker, he was asking me about my views on superhero movies, what comics I read, that sort of thing.I immediately thought of the free download of Cerebus, and when Joe asked me what my favorite comics were I passed on the download site info to him. But the easy thing to do was simply bring in High Society and C&S #1 for him to read.Hope he likes them; I also urged Joe to look for Maus. Hard to top that one for a game-changing comic experience.Steve
Menachem Luchins - Yes, let's try to get everyone in the habit of thinking ESCAPE POD COMICS anytime something CEREBUS-related is being wondered about. He's our "go-to" U.S. guy. PAGE 45 for the rest of the world.
Glen - absolutely ZERO word from John Funk. I've got his list of weekly financial penalties but they expire before the end of June so I'm going to have to get him to update it. Through to the end of the year? Ordinarily that would sound sarcastic but it seems a realistic question at this point. Again, just for the record, I finished signing everything on my birthday which was May 17. We DEFINITELY have to do this differently next time!
Hi Jeff! Yes, I only check the Paypal account once a month -- on the 29th or nearest non-Sunday date -- so I'm sure that I'm giving Gerhard an accurate accounting of his 25%. I'm not sure if it was Comic Art Metaphysics or ordinary metaphysics but I found that checking the Paypal account any more often that caused or "caused" it to flatline. :)Any time I DON'T mention the Paypal revenues -- which I usually don't -- it's because it's in non-record-breaking range (usually between $800 and $1,200 a month). "Every little bit helps". No question about it.
George Peter Gatsis - Hi George! The next step is for you to "get with" Sandeep and find a way to give all of the paying customers at cerebusdownloads.com from COMIC BOOK RESOURCES a $20 Bonus Credit (and the paying customers from BLEEDING COOL and THE COMICS JOURNAL a $10 Bonus Credit) at CEREBUS: THE OVERSIZED PROJECT. We'll make it an open offer on any cerebusdownloads purchase in the month of June from those sites. And if someone could let CBR and THE COMICS JOURNAL know we're doing that? Rich J. I think will read about it here (hi, Rich!)
Matt Dow - I'm not sure that it was a rhetorical question. What DID you do? Cause me to give away way too many digital downloads for too little return? Set in motion a digital download tsunami that will carry CEREBUS to the top of pop culture prominence? Probably something in between those two. Best to you and Paula and Janis Pearl and Natasha!
Steve - YES! There's a GREAT example of how this would work. The Real World Interface with the super-hero movies is a good example and the "What comics do YOU think are good?" a good segue to watch for. See, Matt? THERE's something that you did! That would never have happened with Steve without your contribution. So, good on ya!
