I remember seeing this and was a little confused. I know Dave like Regan, disliked Clinton and liked George W. Bush but how does he feel about Obama?

Ant'ny, did you mean Ronald Reagan or did you mean Donald Regan?

I think Nancy, as did I, always got slightly confused as to who was whom...

And, for that matter, I think Dave disliked/es the distaff Clinton but liked the President. Certainly, I suspect he admires the retired elder statesman Clinton, the one who is not attempting to take back the non-Off-White House.

Just sayin'.

Hi Anthony! Respect, I think, is always due to the Office of the President of the United States, particularly from a Canadian whose country's security depends almost entirely on the U.S. (because that situation doesn't change regardless of which individual or which party holds that office). I would always refer to President Obama, not "Obama".

I have to say that I admire anyone who thinks themselves equipped to campaign for the office and thinks themselves equipped to do a good job when they get there.

I'm not a "feel" guy, I'm a "think" guy, so I don't "feel" anything about Barack Obama.

He has certainly led the United States further to left than it's ever been in its history. To the extent that Bernie Saunders, a lifelong socialist, was able to portray himself as "the logic of the next step" after eight years of the Obama Presidency and come far closer to getting the nomination than even the wildest political fabulist would have predicted in 2008.
