"FRED: Undercover" - read how an interdimensional cosmic rift in the metaphysical bridging material brought our anti-hero to Beavertown in a story we like to call "Born Again: Year One". Drawn in the secret Alex Raymond style that nobody knew of.

And while yes I know this column is all about "Spore" (and yes I know that technically Cerebus in a Spawn outfit is not Spore:)) let's also keep "Strange Death of Alex Raymond" at the forefront of our consciousness. Incredible research offering new keen observations, insights, and deductions in service of a masterful storyteller with impeccable timing weaving humourous, suspenseful and thought provoking things that are happening on several levels: comics within comics, greenscreens...and landlines? Multi layered in both the psychological and metaphysical sense - all while drawn in a beautifully playful pyrotechnic, razzle dazzle eye candy kinda way - offering total immersion! You will only experience a masterpiece like this once in a lifetime.
And maybe again when adapted by Christopher Nolan with Brad Pitt as Alex Raymond (produced by his Production Company "Plan B" - because it says so right there on the desk in the drawing!)

Greg Goldstein Gallery spotlights the "colossal achievement" of "one of comics’ best storytellers" the "ultra talented" Dave Sim who "launched a boom in independent black and white comics"

Thanks Oliver!

Next Time: No, really. It's NOT what it looks like. (I swear!)
I mean, it's neat as hell, and Steve Swenson (who sent it to me) and I talked on the phone for an hour and a half about WHAT it is...
