This Wikipedia entry showed up in my regular morning "Cerebus 24 hour google search" this week. A nice reminder https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Siu_Ta Sui Tan: "This is just for fun for Dave". Her husband was a fan. It's interesting also because it's 2 years before glamourpuss started

Strangehaven shipped 25 years ago this week. It appeared as a 8 page preview in Cerebus issue 198 and Dave Sim wrote the intro to the TPB. (And the creator "photorealist" Gary Spencer Millidge was kind enough to give a super nice blurb to my own indie comic "Captain Zap":))
https://millidge.blogspot.com/2020/06/dark-skies-and-silver-linings-twenty.html
https://momentofcerebus.blogspot.com/2012/03/recommended-strangehaven.html
https://momentofcerebus.blogspot.com/2014/11/gary-spencer-millidge-meanwhile.html
(And what Gary was so kind to write about my comic: "I found Captain Zap to contain great use of sequential art techniques, with the deceptively simple art and story concealing a number of serious themes. A breeze to read and very funny in places. "A-1" is a great little character and ripe for merchandising possibilities. I also really liked the unhurried pace of the strip.")
