Please Hold For Dave Sim 4/2023: The whole Shebang!

Hi, Everybody!
"Dapper" Dave Sim and Manly Matt Dow return, once again, for their Monthly phone chat that Manly records and edits together and posts here.

We call it Please Hold For Dave Sim.
Audio:

Video:
Part 1: Can Matt refer to a Strong. Independent. Female. As a... "broad" (Manly sez: "Dude, she invites four underage dudes to move in with her within hours of first meeting them. Broad is one of the NICEST terms I could use...")
Dave remembers Jeff Seiler.
A BIG "Thank You!" to the 608 people who gave $88,508 to fund The Waverly Press & Aardvark-Vanaheim’s Remaster of Eastman & Laird’s Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles Number Eight Featuring Dave Sim’s Cerebus the Aardvark. Thank you, again.
Manly let's YOU, yes, YOU! know that if you missed out on The Waverly Press & Aardvark-Vanaheim’s Remaster of Eastman & Laird’s Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles Number Eight Featuring Dave Sim’s Cerebus the Aardvark, you gots the 2nd chance thanks to the The Waverly Press & Aardvark-Vanaheim’s Remaster of Eastman & Laird’s Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles Number Eight Featuring Dave Sim’s Cerebus the Aardvark Indiegogo campaign.
An announcement that "Mistakes were made." regarding the Remastered The Last Day.
And Manly christens the new version "The Last Void". (See, the spine reads "Form & Void", even though it's the Remastered The Last Day, as we said, "Mistakes were made." It's either "The Last Void", or "Form & Day"...)
Dave announces the beginnings of a plan to sell copies of the Remastered The Last Day, Signed by Dave AND Gerhard, with a Last Day Cerebus head sketch Remarque in silver on the cover by Dave, on CerebusDownloads.com for the low low price of $99CAD starting April 29th. On the first day, they're available for $79CAD. The Canadian Dollar is on a bit of a rollercoaster ride, so AS OF TODAY, the American prices are $58.44USD on the first day, and $73.23USD after that.

More on this tomorrow...

Part 3:
We take a "moment" (Heh.) to remind everyone that James Windsor-Smith has a Kickstarter for Papa Balloon and Cactus #2 WITH a Dave Sim Variant Cover. And JWS had me send stuff to Dave, and we talk around that...

And you CAN get your very own SIGNED print from Dave via James' Kickstarter. They look like this:

Part 4:
Dave answers the second (in a series of questions) from Adam J. Elkhadem, creator of Octave the Artist.
And s Dave answers Michael Raynor(? I think that's how it's spelled...)'s question on why Dave and Mark Gruenwald signed a copy of The Amazing Spider-Man #59 to "Jim".

Then Dave discusses Frank Thorne at the request of Travis H. Which ties in to this Humble Bundle that has the Red Sonja Art of Frank Thorne books in it.

Mike Sewall wants to know about Remastered Diamondback decks. Dave and Matt got answers...and memories.
Dodger wants to know about CerebusTV. Dave and Matt have answers...and memories.
John Gilsmann's question about the number 7 in The Strange Death of Alex Raymond.
Boy howdy, that's some good Holdin'... See ya next month when we do it all again... (And where I DON'T work the weekend after Dave and I talk. PROMISE!)

Maybe the vintage, signed Diamondback decks can be offered over at Cerebus downloads.

I'd volunteer to be the Cerebus TV czar, but I don't have X number of dollars to entice Fisher to cough up the goods (plus I'm a year behind on Please Hold transcripts).

Truthfully, with some minor editing of copyright protected music (of which there was very little), CeTV could be put on Youtube and monetized with ads eventually (if they were put on the Cerebus Online page, for instance, they could be monetized immediately due to subscriber count and views watched).
