I can't say what the actual value would be, but as far as my spending habits go, there is a 100 percent certainty that I would buy the postcard set (as described in the video) if it was around $19, but the closer it got to $30 the lower the chance. Anything over $30 = no chance.

I agree with Mike on the price point on this, 20 bucks is probably a good price point if you want it to appeal to the more frugal of us Cerebus fans. I really like this idea, I like the fact that at this size, you could frame them and it'd still look good. I personally would prefer the images big bold and unfettered with side images. The Cerebus stamps is also a fun idea, but I wouldn't go so far as to stick them on the cards, just include them in the package. (Unless "Officially Licked and Sticked by Dave Sim" is a collector perk that you want to run with.)

"...and all of the Ps that look like Ds will now look like Ds..."

Nooooooooooooooo! Aaaaaagh!! Oy vey!!!

All of those hours, scribbling away on my notepad--"The P in SEPRA looks like a D", "The Ps in PURPOSE look like Ds", "The P in PURLOINED", et cetera, ad infinitum, ad nauseum. Seventy-nine pages of notes, mostly about The Dreaded Ps That Look Like Ds. All shot to hell!!! (Um, P? Say hello to Cerebus from me, will ya?)

Say it ain't so, Joe! Say it ain't so!!

Oh, and, about the cartes de poste (to quote a line from a Buffett song): you say it, and I'll pay it.

1900s? 2000s? Good little dementia self-exam there, Dave. Glad you passed.

And, I'm not making fun of you (well, maybe a wee bit...). I have those momentary self-exams all the time, these days.

Please don't tell us any more about your "self-exams", Jeff....

;)

No, really, it's okay. Just a little bit of mental (or otherwise) lifting, separating, and tucking. A place for everything and everything in its place, so to speak.

Travis Pelkie said...

It's the non-mental lifting, separating, and tucking that's the problem! AUGH!

TMI guys, TMI. You're talking about someone with a serious Carmen Miranda costume.
