Is there some way David Birdsong can go full Gil Kane on Cerebus's nostrils somehow? I guess it's not the right shape but that would make the parody even better.
Good call, Michael G. Maybe/if/when we do a compendium of CIH? covers.
This isn't something that happens all the time.
Go here and scroll down just past the mention of "Greek epics".

Not something one expects to find in the middle of an anime discussion. I think it lends proof to my theory that Cerebus will survive as a work, the quality, uniqueness and controversy will combine to make it something people will want to seek out; that could be the case now but perhaps even moreso in the future.
cheers,
A Fake Name
Couldn't agree more, AFN. When people start to use you as an example you have attained a new and perhaps disturbing level of "Knowness".
Cerebus will be around after all of us are gone. Thanks to Dave's plan he may even still be appearing in comics of some kind since he will belong to anyone that wants to use him. Poor Cerebus. Dave really did send that little guy to hell, didn't he?
Not really. He just went crazy and alienated people with huge rants and boring writing
